Scripture Reading: Genesis 22:2–18
“And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him,” Genesis 22:2-3.
Father God, we pray that you will bless us with more love, more power, and more of you in our lives. Lord, there is too much of us, too much of our flesh. We pray that you will give us the grace to pay the price for more of you in our lives.
Lord, we pray that you will give us a clear understanding of the value of playing the ultimate note with the gifting that you have given to us.
Father God Almighty, we pray that as you gave Abraham the grace to play his ultimate note in faith, Noah the grace to play his ultimate note in worship and Solomon the grace to play his ultimate note in wisdom, you will give us the grace to play our individual ultimate note. We pray that for every gift, every potential, and every opportunity that you have poured into our lives, that you will give us the anointing to play the ultimate note. Father, help us to give back the highest value that you have given into our lives. Today, let your Word be manifest in us, let there be clear understanding, not just excitement but incitement, to walk in our highest place of purpose in Jesus’ name.
When musicians use their talent to perform, they often hear people applaud for them. But there are times when they play the ultimate note and receive a standing ovation. In the life of the believer, there is a gift that the Lord has deposited that can be played normally or ultimately. I pray in the name of Jesus that every gift deposited in us will be brought out to the optimum level, and that we will play the ultimate note with the gift we are given because a life of mediocrity is unfair to both God and man.
In Genesis 22, we read the story of Abraham, the Father of Faith. He had so much faith in God that when God told him to sacrifice his only begotten son, he did so without hesitation. The Father of Faith, who had manifested faith at various times in his life, continued to manifest faith even in that situation.
In Genesis 12, God called Abraham to come out of his country, and he did; he left his family and followed God. All the faith experiences he had with God from chapter 12 to chapter 21 reached a climax in chapter 22, with the release of blessing. Abraham had cultivated a lifestyle of faith by the decisions and choices that he had made.
In verse 17, God says, “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies.” I pray, in the name of Jesus that like Abraham, you will use the gift He has given you to play your ultimate note. God is waiting for the manifestation of the gift that has been poured in us. The Bible says that all of creation groans and awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. Where are the Abrahams, the Noahs, the Ruths, the Isaiahs of this day? I pray that all who have a gifting from God spiritually and physically will determine from today on to play their ultimate note.
If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, you cannot play your ultimate note. It is the Holy Spirit who will give you the grace to play the ultimate note with the giftings you have. If you are not born again, pray with me and say, “Dear Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. Give me the grace to play the ultimate note. Write my name in the book of life.
Make me born again and let your spirit lead me to play my ultimate note. Blessed be God in Jesus name.”
