Dominate
Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:26–28
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
Dominate
Father God, I pray that you pour the anointing for fruitfulness into the lives of your children. In the name of Jesus, pour into our lives the grace of dominion.
The word “dominate” often stirs up negative associations in our mind. We usually equate one who dominates with a selfish despot. However, when God calls us to dominate, He is speaking of being fruitful and ruling in a God-like manner; for we are made in God’s image.
According to this passage, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit drafted a plan for our lives: that upon receiving salvation, we should be fruitful, multiply, replenish, and subdue the earth. His will is that in a godly manner, we have dominion over every living thing that moves on the earth. Beloved, are you dominating or are you being dominated? Are you influencing your world, or is it influencing you? In order to dominate, the Word says you must be fruitful.
Some of us are physically, psychologically, emotionally, and even spiritually barren. I pray that God pours blessings upon the barren, blessings that make each one rich spiritually and physically.
Prayer Points:
It is impossible to fulfill God’s original plan of dominion if you have not been washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Only Jesus can restore to us that which our sins have destroyed. Give your life to Jesus now by praying, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins and ask that you cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the book of life. Give me the born-again experience so I can begin a new life with you; a life of dominion and fruitfulness.”
Father God, we pray that Genesis 1:28 will be a reality in our lives, that we will be fruitful and multiply and have dominion. Father God, in your mercy and love, look at the lives that are barren and replace them with fruitfulness. We pray for the release of multiplication into all the areas of our lives: our ministries, our families, our resources. Give us the grace to dominate. The Word of God says to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion. Lord God, let your Word work in our lives in Jesus’ name.
