Bless His Names
Scripture Reading: Psalm 96
“Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day,” Psalm 96:2.
Bless His Names
Father God Almighty, I will never forget what you have done for me. I thank you for your mercies, your faithfulness, your love and your goodness. Lord God, I praise you. You are an awesome God, the King of kings and Lord of lords; yet you still remember me. You truly are my covenant Father, my Everlasting Father.
“O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth,” Psalm 96. I encourage you today to resolve to sing a new song unto God. Bless His name in a unique way. Only you can bless Him like this because no one else knows Him the way you do. Recall the times God manifested His names to you:
Jehovah, Exodus 6:3–4.
God is your covenant Father. The blood of His Son Jesus sealed the covenant: God will forgive us of all our sins and give us eternal life. Because of this sacrifice, you can call Him Father. And not just Father, but also Jehovah, your Father by covenant. Bless His Name, because Jehovah God kept His promise by sending Jesus. Can you remember all the promises God has made to you? He will continue to keep His promises.
Jehovah Shammah, Ezekiel 48:35.
God is always present with you. He is the one who assured you that He would never leave you or forsake you; that He would be with you even until the end of the earth.
Jehovah Shalom, Judges 6:24.
He is the God of your peace. He is the One who calms the storms of your life and showers you with peace that passes all understanding. He is the One who brought you through yesterday’s challenges to where you are today.
Jehovah Rophi, Exodus 15: 26.
God is your healer. Thank you God for all the ways you have healed and will continue to heal.
Jehovah Ro’i, Psalm 23:1.
He is your Shepherd who leads you by His voice. He makes you to lie down in green pastures, satisfied. He prepares a table before you in the presence of your enemies. His rod and staff comfort you. His goodness and mercy follow you all the days of your life so you can dwell in His house forever.
Jehovah Nissi, Exodus 17:15.
He is the God of your victory. Bless Jehovah Nissi for all the victories He has won for you; for all the battles He has fought in your stead when you lacked the strength or know-how to fight.
El Shaddai, Genesis 17:1.
Truly God is the Almighty,all-sufficient one. He is sufficient for all your needs, for there is nothing He cannot do. With Him the impossible is possible. Remember how He made a way for you when there seemed to be no way? Call Him your El Shaddai.
