Full Joy
Scripture Reading: John 15:1–11
“These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full,” John 15:11.
Full Joy
Father, we thank you because you are the King of kings and Lord of lords, but as our loving God you stoop to participate in the matters arising in our lives. Lord we thank you because you are our own Emmanuel, God with us.
God is with us through Jesus Christ our Lord. God is a very present help in time of need, our refuge and our strength and He is there available with all we have ever needed, and all we will ever need.
Even though it is possible for us to be distracted and not be with Him, our Lord Jesus Emmanuel is with us. My prayer is that by His grace we also will be with Him in the name of Jesus.
In order for you to have full joy, your Emmanuel, God must be with you. But more importantly, you must be with God. When you abide in Him, your joy will be full. That is why He said in John 16:24, “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive that your joy may be full.” Joy, full joy can only come when you abide in Him and His Word abides in you. Full joy can only come when He is your Emmanuel, your God with you and you with Him. When you abide in Him, your joy will be full and His desire will be fulfilled. Are you tired of partial joy, tired of being happy in one area but distressed in another? Our Lord’s desire is that our joy may be full. He said I have come that ye might have life and have it more abundantly, John 10:10.
How can your joy be full? It will be full if ye abide in Him and His Word abides in you. When there is intimacy there is oneness; being one with God is majority; it is being victorious, prosperous, and successful. Being one with God experiences no impossibilities for with God all things are possible. If you desire full joy, resolve first to abide in Christ. Psalm 91:1 says, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” Fullness of joy comes from the presence of God under the shadow of the Almighty. The only way to get to God is through Jesus: you must abide in Him and let His Word abide in you.
Do you have a commitment to read His Word? How can it abide in you if you do not read it? If you want to grow and experience full joy, read your Bible and pray every day; praise every day. Commune with God, call Him your own Emmanuel, and abide with Him for He is the custodian of full joy. Embrace Him today. Walk with Him in fullness today and your joy will be full forever in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Prayer Points:
If you have never given your life to Jesus, you cannot experience full joy. So pray with me now and say, “Lord Jesus I surrender my life to you. Give me the born-again experience and give me fullness of joy. Let me also participate in the manifestation of full joy in this life and in eternal life in Jesus’ name.” Amen.
