The Thoughts of God

Scripture Reading:  Psalm 139:17 and Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end,” Jeremiah 29:11.

The Thoughts of God

Beloved, do you understand the thoughts that God has towards you? What are the thoughts of God to you the believer? Beloved, Psalm 139:17 says, “How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God. How great is the sum of them!” And in Jeremiah 29:11 God tells us His thoughts are of peace, not of evil. He is thinking of how to perfect all that concerns you; His desire is to manifest His excellence in your life and make it an object of admiration. He is thinking of how to comfort you and make you comfortable. He is determined to make exceptions for you because He loves you. You may not believe that God loves you or that He thinks of you. God does love you; you are perpetually in His thoughts. That is why His thoughts are recorded in His Word so you can read them yourself. In Psalm 81:10 The Lord says to us, “I am the Lord thy God which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.” Beloved, God is waiting for us to get to that place of communion where He can make His thoughts known to us. He is waiting for us to come into that good place, that good place of safety. That good place is in the Presence of the Lord. It is a place of refreshing that is full of joy. It is a place of favor with God; for God says that He will bless the righteous, and with favor will He encompass the righteous as with a shield.

God has thoughts of good and of peace for you. God is thinking of you right now.  Be filled and led by the Holy Spirit and ask Him to reveal to you the thoughts of God concerning you.

Prayer Points:

Let your renewing power renew my life like the eagles. Touch my spirit O Lord with your fire. O Lord let your reviving power revive my blessings. Let your good promises in my life be fulfilled as I release myself to the thoughts of God. Amen.
