Through the Eyes of Jesus

Scripture Reading:  Revelation 1:8,11, 18; 2:1

“I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty,” Revelation 1:8.

Through the Eyes of Jesus

Today, we will look at the Lord Jesus from the eyes of Jesus Himself as written in the book of Revelation. In Revelation 1:8, our Lord Jesus makes a divine introduction of Himself. Beloved, our Lord Jesus is the Alpha and Omega, and He is the Almighty. Blessed be God.

In Revelation 1:11, He introduces Himself again, saying, “I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and What thou seest, write in a book and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia, unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.” Beloved, the Lord is telling you to tell it everywhere that He is the first and the last. He is the beginner. He is the finisher.  Is there anything God has started in your life? Be assured that He will finish it because He is Alpha and Omega.

Again, in Revelation 1:18, the Lord Himself says, “I am he that liveth and was dead; and behold, I am alive forever more, Amen; and have the keys of hell and death.” Yes, our Lord Jesus is He that lives and was dead and is alive now and for evermore. He has the keys of hell and of death; therefore, hell and death cannot torment us anymore. In Revelation 2:1, He tells us that He is He “that holdeth the seven stars in His right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks.” Yes, He has your stars in His hands and He walks in your midst.

Revelation 2:12 says our Lord Jesus has the sharp sword with two edges. This means any which way the enemy wants to cut, He can cut the enemy into pieces because His sword has two edges. Blessed be God.

In Revelation 2:18 the Lord Jesus says He is “the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and His feet are like fine brass.”  No wonder He says His ministers are a flaming fire, because when you look into the eyes of Jesus, you catch the fire of Jesus and glow for Jesus. I pray today that the Lord will give us a revelation of Himself that will cause us to call down the glow of the fire in the eyes of Jesus into our eyes, so that wherever we go people will say, “You have your Father’s eyes.”

Revelation 3:1 says He is “He that hath the seven spirits of God, and the seven stars.” Blessed be God. According to Revelation 3:7, He is “He that is holy, He that is true, He that hath the key of David, He that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth.” Do you know what that means? The Lord Jesus, your Saviour, has the master key. The doors He opens in your life no man can shut.  The doors against the enemy He has shut, no man can open.

Father God we thank you because you are faithful. You are able to deliver those who trust in you.

In Revelation 3:14 the Lord says that He is the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God. That is our King; that is our Lord Jesus. Pray for a revelation of Jesus beyond the utterance of His name to a revelation of His personality. Pray that God will give you that grace to see God as the Alpha and the Omega, to see Jesus as the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the ending in every situation in your life in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Points:

Father God, today I acknowledge you as the Alpha and I ask you to begin something new and good in my life. You are the beginner and I know that you will perfect and bring every work that you are doing in my life to a perfect finish. Lord, since you are the Alpha and the Omega, I know that my beginning will be great and my ending will be greater.

Father God, I pray according to your Word that you are He that lives and died and are now alive forever. Father God, I pray that you deliver me from the fear of death. Father, every way the fear of death has harassed your children, today I pray that a divine revelation of the Lord Jesus will cast out that fear. Father God, I pray that I will not die before my time and death will not harass me prematurely, in the name of Jesus. Father God, I pray that because you have the keys of hell and death, you preserve those who are appointed to die in the name of Jesus.

Father God Almighty, we thank you because you are a good God. We thank you for your Son, the Lord Jesus. I pray, Lord God Almighty, that you will give me the grace to recognize without doubt that Jesus is the Son of God, that He has eyes like a flame of fire, that we will receive His eyes. Father in Jesus’ name I ask that wherever I go the fire glowing in the eyes of Jesus will be in my eyes and that I will be recognized as a child of God.

Lord God Almighty make me holy like you and make me true. You have the key of David. Open the doors that need to be opened in my life, in Jesus’ name. Shut the doors that need to be shut. Lord Jesus, you say you are the Amen. You are the One who says so be it, and so it will be. Father God, decree good things into my life and say Amen to them, in Jesus’ name. You are faithful and true. O manifest your faithfulness to me in every area. Continue your loving-kindness in my life, in Jesus’ name I pray.
