From Believer to Convert
How do you upgrade from a believer to a convert? Let the wind of the Holy Spirit blow into your life and upgrade you from a believer to a convert who is totally surrendered to God.
What are the blessings of the convert? Bountiful material and spiritual blessings will flow into your life. The convert is one who has repented from sin to God and has allowed the Lord to convert his soul. The convert is not just a worker of God, but is a servant with a servant’s heart towards God and His people. The Lord our God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. His servants are those who are His converts, those who totally live for Him who have indeed surrendered all to Him, who have no other interest but to serve the living God in spirit and in truth, walking with Him. It is impossible to walk with God in the way God requires, on God’s terms, without His Holy Spirit.
That is why we need to pray today that the wind of the Holy Spirit will blow upon our lives and blow away everything that is making it difficult for us to be true converts of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Song of Solomon 4:16 says, “Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.” Yes, let the wind of the Holy Spirit blow upon the garden of our lives, that all our virtues will flow out, that our Lord Jesus Christ, the one to whom we are totally converted, will come into His garden, come into our lives and eat His pleasant fruits, and consider us fruitful in the name of Jesus.
Beloved, when the wind blows, it blows blessings into our lives. I pray that the wind of the Holy Spirit will upgrade you from a believer to a convert. Yes, the difference is the power of the Holy Spirit. In 2 Kings 2 we see the story of Elisha and Elijah. Just before Elijah was taken up to heaven he asked Elisha: What would you have me do for you? And Elisha said, “I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My Father, my Father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of the Jordan; And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the Lord God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him,” 2 Kings 2:9-15.
One crucial thing happened there: the whirlwind blew. The wind blew and took Elijah to heaven; the same wind blew and dropped the mantle of Elijah upon Elisha. Today I pray that the wind of the Holy Spirit will upgrade you from a believer to a convert and let the mantle of our Lord Jesus Christ fall upon you. When that whirlwind blew, it gave Elisha the grace to cross the Jordan. You become a convert with the mantle of the Lord Jesus Christ upon you, because He said in John 14:12, “He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do.” How are you going to do this? The wind of the Holy Spirit must blow upon your life so that just as Elisha crossed the Jordan with that mantle, you will be able to cross the Jordan to your destiny in our Lord Jesus Christ.
When the wind blows conversion into your life, rapid promotion will come with your new mantle as it came for Elisha. The prophets who were laughing at him, now bowed before him. The anointing of the convert is different from the anointing of the believer. The anointing that comes in when the Holy Spirit blows like a whirlwind into your life will change every curse on your family to blessing; and it will be easier for you to win souls. God will cause everything that is mocking you right now to be eliminated to the glory of God. Great men will call you and you will rule by decrees. Sorrow will no longer be your portion. It will no longer come into your family. Sickness will no longer be your portion. From that day you will become temporally and eternally useful. You will be useful to man. You will be useful to God. Beloved, it is necessary for us to upgrade from believers to converts because the blessings of the convert are many. The blessings of the convert are in the Bible. All the promises of God in the Bible are yea and amen to the convert.
Prayer Points:
We pray now, may the wind of the Holy Spirit blow upon our lives and upgrade us from believers to total converts. I pray today that the Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, the precious Holy Spirit, that Spirit that raised up our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead, will blow upon us now and blow away everything that is a hindrance to our upgrading and blow in every anointing that will cause us to walk the walk of the convert victoriously, with all the blessings manifesting to the glory of God in our lives in the name of Jesus.
