Spiritual Equity

Scripture Reading: Acts 10:3–4

“He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.”

Spiritual Equity

Father God, we pray for your divine cover today. Thank you for the benefits of working with you and walking in you.

Thank you for all that we enjoy because of your redemption plan. Father God, we pray for the grace to build up spiritual equity in you in the name of Jesus.

Many of us are experiencing benefits today because of the spiritual equity sown by our forebears. These relatives deposited prayers, praises, and other acts of holiness in the Bank of Heaven. Beloved, we are either building up spiritual equity or building up iniquity.

Let us explore two key ways to build up spiritual equity.

• Prayer

In Acts 10:4, we see that Cornelius had given so many alms and prayed so much, that God remembered it. If you want to build up spiritual equity, you need to pray. Thank God for everything He has done for you. Tell God the details of all the matters on your mind. Spend time with God, so that you develop intimacy with Him, and get to know Him more.

• Praise

“Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon

earth. Selah. Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.  God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him,” Psalm 67:3–7.

Do you want a blessing that will make the ends of the earth fear God? Then let praise come out of your mouth for God. Sing songs of praise to God. Some of us only sing when we are sad and prompted by the Holy Spirit. Do not wait; praise God daily and start depositing praise in your equity account with God. Work with God and walk before Him, for God is able to bless you as you walk with Him.

Prayer Points:

You cannot experience God and have spiritual equity except you are born again. If you have never given your life to Jesus, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood and write my name in the book of life. Give me equity in heaven in Jesus’ name.”

Father God Almighty, draw us close to you in the name of Jesus. Deliver us from the things that drain our spiritual equity. In your mercy, work miracles in the lives of your children. Let all the enemies in the camp of our lives be disarmed in the name of Jesus. Give us the grace to have the consciousness of our need to build up spiritual equity and not iniquity because we are remembered by whatever we build up and all that we build up is transferred to our children. Amen.
