Undo Afflictions
Scripture Reading: Zephaniah 3:14–20
“Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame,” Zephaniah 3:19.
Undo Afflictions
Father God, we exalt you today and thank you for your mercies upon our lives. By your grace, we are delivered from all oppression. You are the mighty warrior, the one who is omnipotent. All power belongs to you. You are the great and mighty God, the strong tower. In you we put our trust. We pray in the name of Jesus that you restore all that the enemy has stolen from us. Take control, O living God, and deliver us from all our destroyers in the name of Jesus.
Are you going through any kind of affliction now? You may be suffering from the oppression of witchcraft. You may be in despair, or perhaps you are not operating at your best and nothing is working right. God promises to undo your affliction.
“Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. The Lord hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the Lord, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more. In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden,” Zephaniah 3:14–18. In verse 19, He assures us that He will undo all that afflicts us, and in verse 20 He says, “At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.”
The Word of God is true. He is asking you to sing, to shout and be glad, to rejoice with all your heart. You might say, “Why should I rejoice? Look at all I’m going through.” But, in the midst of this, the Lord is telling you in verse 15 that you shall not see evil anymore. God will save you by His mighty right arm. God is ready now to undo all that afflicts you. In every land where you have been put to shame, you will receive praise and fame by the power of God. Let the Lord do a sudden work of deliverance. Let him undo your affliction so that you will not see evil anymore.
Father God Almighty, I pray that in the name of Jesus, you will bless your people with a glad heart. Let us rejoice, for you are in the midst of us, O Lord, and your Word has promised us that we will not see evil anymore. Thank you because your Word is true; it is not the word of man. Lord, you know the different forms of affliction your children are going through.
Undo all that afflicts us in the name of Jesus. Have mercy on us, Father God Almighty, and give us fame and praise in every land where we have been put to shame. Give us the grace to experience deliverance from captivity for your Word says that you will turn back our captivity before our eyes. O gracious living God, do what only you can do, for there is nothing you cannot do.
Prayer Points:
If you do not know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, it is time to let Him start this work of undoing your afflictions by accepting deliverance from your sins. Pray with me now, “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the book of life.” Father God, by the power of your Word and your Holy Spirit give us the blessing not to see evil anymore.
Give us the grace to experience the undoing of every affliction, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
