May His Blessings in My Life Hallow His Name
Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:9
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.”
May His Blessings in My Life Hallow His Name
Father God we pray that your name be reverenced in our generation. We pray Lord God Almighty that you give us an understanding of the blessings in your name.
If the Lord is your Father, then you need to know his name beyond God. To every person on earth, God is God. When the children of God say, “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,” they are calling forth the respect, reverence and honour due to the name of God.
First I want us to internalize and remember to pray for the blessing of the name of God being hallowed in our lives. God is our Father, so may His fatherhood be respected. When you are seen, may you be respected because God is your Father.
May the anointing, the glory, the honour, the unction, the oil, the hallow, the reverence, the peculiarity, the royalty that is accorded true children of God come into your life because He is your Father in Jesus’ name.
Secondly, there is the need to understand that our relationship with God is a covenant that was instituted at Calvary by the shed blood of Jesus. We are His children and He is Jehovah, our Father by covenant. So beyond calling God, we are able to call him Jehovah, which means my Covenant Father.
There is a separation between the general crowd and those who are the children of God. The children of God know Him as Jehovah, our covenant Father and in every description and accolade they acknowledge him as Jehovah. I pray that Jehovah Shammah, the ever-present covenant Father, be ever present with us. When we call him Jehovah Nissi, the victorious one may he bring victory in every battle we face for His name is Jehovah Nissi, our covenant Father, the victorious one. When we say Jehovah Jireh, we are talking about our covenant Father who always provides for His children. He is the one who makes a way where there seems to be no way, and prompts the release of suspended blessings in the name of Jesus. He is the one who commands abundance to eliminate lack forever. He opens doors that no one can shut, and he is ever providing. Our Jehovah Jireh, our covenant Father, the great provider, may His name be glorified. He is our Jehovah Rophe, the one who heals us, the one who renews our strength like the eagles, the one who has made healing progressive, perpetual, and permanent in the lives of His children. God our healer, may His name be hallowed in our lives.
When we say, “Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name,” we are asking that God’s covenant Fatherhood, His victory, His provision, Presence, and His healing be evident and respected in our lives. When we say, hallowed be thy name, it should not just be recited in a religious manner because anyone can recite the Lord’s Prayer. May the Lord’s Prayer be something that comes alive manifestly in our lives.
When we say the Lord’s Prayer I pray that the name of God be hallowed in our lives. It will be hallowed when the attributes of His name are manifest in our lives; when His victory, His provision, His Presence and His healing are undeniably present in our lives.
The beautiful thing about the name of the living God is that it is ever increasing. To one, He is the provider, and to that same person He is the author and giver of life, the Redeemer, the Saviour, the protector, the judge, and the advocate. He is beautiful for every situation. The first step to receiving the blessings of the Lord God Almighty being hallowed in your life is that you surrender your life to His Son. Our Lord Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and atonement allows the children of God to say our God is our Father. My God, My Father, hallowed be your name in my life. Let your Kingdom come, be King in my life. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Prayer Points:
How can His will be done on earth as it is in heaven if His will is not done in your life? Let us pray, “Lord, let your will be done in our lives for when your will is done your name is hallowed, respected.”
You must have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ for His name to be hallowed and respected in your life. He must reside in you and become your Captain and then victory will be permanent, provision will be abundant, healing will be perpetual, His Presence as Emmanuel will be ever present with you. It all begins with salvation so if you have never given your life to Jesus pray with me, “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Give me the born-again experience, come and reside in me and become my King. Let me be able to call God my Father and let His name be hallowed in my life forever in Jesus’ name.” Amen.
