Praying According to His Will

Scripture Reading: 1 John 5:14

Praying According to His Will

Brethren, it is reassuring to know that our greatest prayer partner, our greatest intercessor is Jesus. Every blessing, every good thing we enjoy on earth is because Jesus has prayed for us.

Jesus said to Peter in Luke 22:31-32, “…Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: but I have prayed for thee…” It is refreshing that He not only prayed for Peter, but He is also now praying for you and me. I want to encourage you to understand that Jesus who is praying for us has permanent favour with God and so whatever prayer He prays to God gets a favourable answer. Understand that your prayers do not change God, nor cause God to work for you. They cause you to receive what God has already prepared for you because He was and is your Father even before He sent you to this earth. He knows everything that you will need and in His faithfulness and principle of preparation He has made everything available. When we pray and say, “Thy will be done,” our prayers make attainable what God has made available. Our prayers cause us to attain all the good things, thoughts, and plans that God has already put in place for us, and our prayers cause us to come into alignment with God’s plans.

Our prayers connect us to the blueprint of heaven. When prayers are offered, they activate our expectations. When you pray for something you begin to expect it. Your prayers activate your expectations and your expectations facilitate your reception of what Heaven has for you. God your Father knows what you need. He is merely looking for you to get in line with what He has planned for you. Continue to pray for that which you are praying, and when it comes to pass, do not touch the glory for it is God who causes you both to will and to do His good pleasure, as Philippians 2:13 states. So even the desire to pray for something is put in you by God’s Spirit. He gives you the will to pray because He is looking for a way for you to align with what He has released and you can receive what He has made available. There is so much God has made available to you that you are not receiving or attaining now. I pray that God will give you the grace to have an expanded mind to begin to think of the things that God has prepared for you. He desires us to pray according to His will for signs, wonders, miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit. This will align our lives to His will for us.

Isaiah 64:4 says “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” This is affirmed in 1 Corinthians 2:9: “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” I pray that you believe that God has lined up things for you that you need to pray for to attain. May none of His plans for you miss you in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

O Father, cause your children to receive what you have released, but not to touch your glory. May we learn to pray according to your will in Jesus’ name. Amen.
