Crown the Year with Goodness

Crown the Year with Goodness
Our Father and our God, we thank you for your blessings, your excellent loving- kindness, your faithfulness, your provision, protection, and peace throughout this year. Your love and grace towards us is amazing.
David expressed this gratitude in Psalm 65: 8-13: “They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof. Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.”
With what would you like the Lord God Almighty to crown your year? The Word of God says that the Lord crowns the year with His goodness, and His paths drop fatness. What is that good thing that your heart is seeking today? What is that good thing God has caused you to will and to do to bring pleasure to Him and bring blessings upon your life? Begin to articulate it now. Write down what you desire God to do for you in the coming year, because His Word says that He crowns the year with His goodness. He can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
I am excited today; I thank God because I know the best is yet to come. God has formed the year from the beginning and He has promised to drop fatness as He moves in our lives. I pray that God will water the ridges of our lives today, that He will enrich them with the river of God, in the name of Jesus. Pray now, according to Psalm 65, that the Lord God Almighty in His mercy and love will crown your year with goodness and drop fatness in your life.
Prayer Points:
O Father God Almighty, you are so good; you are so great. We thank you because there is nothing you cannot do. We thank you for the praises of your people and pray today according to your Word that when all the people praise you Lord, you will come and cause the earth to yield her increase. Father God Almighty, prepare corn for your people. Provide for your people. Settle the furrows and make it soft with showers. Bless the springing of our lives and crown our year with goodness.
Father, do something new in our lives; overcome us with your goodness and cause us to shout for joy.
If you have not given your life to Jesus, it is time to come out of the darkness and into His light. Face the sun and let your shadow follow behind. Do you know that when you face the sun, your shadow is behind you and when your back is turned to the sun, your shadow is in front of you? Similarly, when you face the Son of God, Jesus Christ, by surrendering your life to Him, your problems will be behind you, but when your back is turned to Him, life is very hard. Face the Son today. Pray along with me, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the book of life and cause me to experience the blessings of being born again.
Dear God, crown my year with your goodness and in your mercy, carry me into the coming year, in Jesus’ name.” Amen.
