Joy of Christmas

Scripture Reading: Luke 2:7–14
“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord,” Luke 2:10–11.

Joy of Christmas

Father God, thank you for the priviledge of another Christmas, for the joy of Christmas, and for your mercies upon our lives.

Let us read about our Saviour’s birth: “And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid,” Luke 2:7–9. In today’s scripture reading, we see that the angel announced the birth of the Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. “And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men,” Luke 2:12–14. May the blessings of Christmas be your portion because our Lord Jesus Christ was born to set man free. He came to bless you beyond the curse of your sins, to set you free from every bondage. No matter where you are, what your circumstances, or how you feel, in the name of Jesus I pray for the presence of God to be upon you. I pray for His glory to descend upon you and bless you in the name of Jesus. I pray that God in His mercy will cause you to experience good tidings of great joy. God is able to cause all grace to abound to you during this season.

The Word of God says that for all people a Saviour is born in Luke 2:10–11. The Saviour, the one who saves us from our destruction, who salvages us from our pitiful state and circumstances, who redeems us, is named Jesus. I present to you your Saviour, your perpetual Saviour, the one who has delivered you before, is delivering you now, and will yet deliver. He is the Saviour, which is Christ, the Lord. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord today.

Walk with Him anew. Jesus loves you. Jesus died for you. He has brought to you salvation because He is the Saviour of the world, He is Christ, He is the Lord.

Give Him glory for He is your God. Exalt Him and praise His name this season. Celebrate Christmas; celebrate the joy of the Saviour who has been born to give you good tidings of great joy. Blessed be God in your life.

I wish you a very Merry Christmas. May God give you the grace to receive the Holy Ghost. Let the power of the Highest overshadow you even as you celebrate Christmas. Let His Presence bring peace into your life. Let His Presence bring a new present into your life. Let Jesus be present in your Christmas for He is indeed the reason for the season. May He be glorified and magnified in your life. Amen.

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus, it is time to do so. Even this day, give the Lord a gift; give Him your greatest gift, your life, this Christmas. Surrender your life to Jesus by praying, “Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. Come into my life and bless my life, O Lord, with glad tidings of great joy, in the name of Jesus.”

God bless you and have a Merry Christmas in Jesus’ name.
