Blessings of Holiness

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 12
“Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord,” Hebrews 12:14.

Blessings of Holiness

Father God I pray that you give us the grace of holiness; the grace of relating to you in love and because of who you are. Bless us with the blessings of holiness and enable us to see you in every area of our lives.

Holiness essentially means godliness. Holiness is profitable because those who have walked that path have found immeasurable blessings. They have experienced peace that passes all understanding, joy like a river, unconditional love, meekness, patience, temperance, and the remaining fruit of the Spirit. And while you are enjoying the buffet that is available to you in the fruit of the Spirit, God will dispense to you the gifts of the Spirit. These gifts are to be used to minister in holiness to profit others in the name of God Almighty.

There is a difference between holiness and righteousness. Holiness is what you and I do for God because of our relationship, our intimacy with God. Righteousness is what we do for man in our relationships with man. I encourage you today to seek a holy life; to seek to be closer to God, to be alone with God in intimacy and fellowship. I encourage you to commune with God as a friend. God will then speak to you and you will hear from Him not because you want to impress other people by saying you hear from God, but because you have intimacy with God, you are one with Him. We are meant to be one with God. Holiness is everything we do for God, with God and to the glory of God. If you seek first your relationship with God and holiness, then your righteousness, your kind acts toward man, will be led by the Spirit. Your holiness will bring forth increased righteousness because you have no agenda, no personal motive, and no disappointment. May God give us the grace to be holy because holiness yields spiritual benefits. You will begin to see things not as the world sees them but the way God wants you to see them. You will begin to see things through God’s eyes, feel the way God feels, and receive messages from God about the things that are on God’s heart. He will then cause you to carry out actions that will manifest in righteousness; but the actions are holy because your foundation is holy; you have done it for God.

Acts 3:19 says, repent, get back to that place of holiness and be converted, change your ways so that the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of God. The holy are those who factor God actively in all they do; those who have no other desire but the desire of God, those who are hungry and thirsty for God. The holy want to press deeper into the throne room, to understand God’s Word more, to get a divine download, divine direction. In everything they plan, they want to know what God has said about it.

Get into that holy place. It is profitable spiritually and will deliver you from being deceived by men. People are deceived when they perceive that other people are closer to God than they are and they spend time with people they think are holy and believe whatever they say. Beloved, there is nothing like hearing from God directly. When you are perpetually in the presence of God you will hear from Him directly and get revelations from Him directly; you will not eat spiritual food that has been processed by others. You will read the Word of God and God will decode it to you directly.

There were people who were doing righteous acts and God said unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, you workers of iniquity, Matthew 7:23. “I never knew you…” means, I never had intimacy with you. Take time to be holy, speak often with God and worship Him because of who He is. Pray to God in communion, read His Word, have dialogue with Him and you will find out that every one of your needs will be met.

When you are holy, you are the apple of God’s eye and He says, he that touches you touches the apple of his eye, Zechariah 2:8. When you are holy, God protects you with all His might, all the divine attributes are working for you, and God leads you on your way from earth to heaven because you are perpetually in touch with Him.

When was the last time you communed with God? Holiness is not being closer to your pastor or to Christian friends.
Holiness is being close to God . May your righteous acts be based on holiness in Jesus’ name and may the benefits of holiness and godliness be a reality in your life. Do something everyday for God. Worship and commune with Him because of who He is and God will bless you indeed.

Prayer Points:

The first step to holiness is surrendering your life to Jesus. If you are not born again, pray now, “Lord I surrender my life to you. Forgive me of my sins and make me holy. Give me the Holy Spirit and grant me the grace to live a life of holiness in Jesus’ name.”
