Speak to Your Mountains

Scripture Reading: Zechariah 4:7
“Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.”

Speak to Your Mountains

Father God, we are forever grateful for your amazing grace. We thank you because the blood of Jesus has nullified every evil. I scatter anything that is obstructing the way Jesus has planned for me today.

In Zechariah 4:7, we see that Zerubbabel knew how to speak to his mountain. I do not know what his mountain was, but I know that in our Christian walk we are confronted with mountains. The Bible advises several different ways to deal with mountains and today we will focus on how to speak to them. Zerubbabel was able to recognize himself as a child of God and to confront his mountain with confidence. His mountain was great, but he understood the principle of speaking to his mountain. Some would rather crawl under a rock and perish than speak to their mountains but God forbid it. Speak to your mountains today: command them in the name of Jesus to become a plain and you will bring forth the pieces of the headstone. When a mountain is scattered, it will be crying, grace, grace, because it will realize that the only thing that could have levelled it is the grace of God upon this person’s life. Today, instead of speaking to our mountains, many of us talk about them. Address that mountain because it is addressing you. Holy Father, as your children practice this, let their mountains become plains. Let testimonies abound from this exercise in Jesus’ name.

You must learn the act of speaking to your mountain correctly: speak directly to the mountain. Command your mountain to become a plain. The fact that people are talking about a problem is not evidence that they have a solution.

Who knew that mountains have ears except the God who made them? O Father God, draw us close to you and teach us to speak to our mountains the words we have heard from you through our intimacy with you in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus, intimacy is not possible. You cannot begin to speak to your mountains or hear from God without help from the Holy Spirit. Pray along with me, “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Let your Holy Spirit work in my life. I want to hear from you and I want to speak to my mountains to have them removed in Jesus’ name.” Amen.
