Attitude for a Miracle
Father, we thank you for your faithfulness. You are merciful and mighty; there is nothing you cannot do, have not done, and will not do for your children. Lord, we cover ourselves with the blood of Jesus. We ask that in your mercy and in your love you upgrade us from the natural to the supernatural, from the ordinary to the extraordinary.
Beloved, today I want to affirm that miracles are a suspension of the natural order to enable the supernatural order to manifest. Miracles cause life to go from ordinary to extraordinary. Who are those who will encounter miraculous deeds, miraculous communication, and miraculous work everyday? They are those who walk in the realm of the miraculous. Let us resolve to walk in that realm because it is going to be awesome!
The number one qualification for walking in the realm of miracles is that you become one of the Lord’s sheep. Life in the extraordinary is available to those who are able to say, not by recitation but by experience, “The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.”
To experience miracles you have to surrender your life to Jesus.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever,” Psalm 23.
The next qualification for working in the realm of the miraculous is to be hungry for a miracle. Miracles do not happen to those who are passive, to those who are content with things the way they are. To walk in the realm of the miraculous, you have to wake up expecting a miracle and continue to ask for one at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and in your dreams.
Beloved, what are you hungry for? Do you articulate your desire for a miracle? The Bible says to write the vision and make it plain, so they that read it can run with it, Habakkuk 2:2. When you write it down, God looks at it and says, “Wow, that’s what my child wants.” He now sends an angel to run with it and causes it to become a reality. You have got to be allergic to the status quo, when you know that with God everything is possible. Instead of staying passive, you must take action because you are hungry for a miracle.
The third qualification for walking in the realm of the miraculous is to determine that the natural does not excite you anymore. You want change for the better and you are ready to work for it.
The fourth qualification is to expand your mind. The Bible says to be renewed by the transforming of your mind, Romans 12:2. In order for the mind of Christ to be in you, your natural mind must yield. When you look at things, you begin to look at them the way Jesus looks at them. When you take on the mind of Christ, fear will give place to a new courage. You are out of your mind; you have renewed your mind and have now allowed the mind that is in Christ to dwell in you. When you see a sinner, you do not judge him anymore; you look at the need for salvation. When you see a problem, you do not analyze it anymore; you now look at it with the mind of Christ and you begin to see the solution.
Let this mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus. Miracles happen to those who have an expanded mind. Let the mind of Christ be in you so you will begin to think and act like Him. O Lord, let miracles happen in our lives.
Prayer Points:
We pray for the grace to be the Lord’s sheep because a life surrendered to the Lord, being one of His sheep, is the best life ever. We pray for the grace to be hungry for a miracle. God Almighty we reject the status quo; we are allergic to it and from now on we will walk in the realm of the miraculous. Heavenly Father, we pray for an expanded mind, that Christ’s mind will be in us in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Beloved, all this is possible when you are born again. If you are not born again, pray along with me and say, “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Bless me, O Lord, with life in the realm of the miraculous. The ordinary and the natural is now boring to me. I am ready for the extraordinary. I am ready for the supernatural. May that be my reality in Jesus’ name. Amen.”
