Barrenness to Fruitfulness

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 2:21
“And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord.”

Barrenness to Fruitfulness

Father God, we thank you because you are our strength, our life, and our hope. living God, I thank you for your Word because it is settled; it has ceased to move around. It has not changed, it is not changing, and will not change.

In the name of Jesus, I pray for those who are barren today. Lord, there are many whose marriages are barren, not because they do not have children, but because there is no communion, no fellowship, no joy, no empathy and no agape in the marriage. I pray for the rain of agape and fruitfulness in marriages, both spiritually and physically. There are many whose businesses are barren; they have not made a profit in a long time. living God, I pray that you will take them from barrenness to fruitfulness. In every area where there is barrenness, spiritually, physically, emotionally, we ask that you take us to fruitfulness in Jesus’ name.

In 1 Samuel 1, we are introduced to a woman named Hannah. She was the beloved wife of a very wealthy man. He loved her so much that he gave her double portions, but she did not have a child and her husband’s other wife provoked her regarding her barrenness. “And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the Lord shut up her womb. And as He did so year after year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat,” 1 Samuel 1:6–7.

Is your adversary provoking you because there is barrenness in your family, business, relationships, health, or spirit? Thank God for the provocation, because provocation caused Hannah to fret and when she began to fret, she started acting according to the plan of God. “And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli marked her mouth. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? Put away thy wine from thee. And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord. Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of Him,” 1 Samuel 1:12– 17.

Is there a barren situation in your life? I pray that the Lord will give you the grace to pour out your heart like Hannah, and let the God of Israel grant your petition. We know the story: Hannah gave birth to Samuel. May your Samuel come forth in the name of Jesus. But Hannah not only gave birth to Samuel, she bore three more sons and two daughters. So a woman, who in chapter 1 did not have any children, had the grace to cry out to the Lord from her heart, and by chapter 2 was a mother of five, apart from Samuel. I pray that the God of Israel in His mercy will pour out His faithfulness to you in every barren situation in your life.

Holy Father, we ask that you will give us the grace of commitment to you. Father God, upgrade your people from involvement to commitment. Maybe you are just involved with God when it is time for commitment. Come to the Lord

God Almighty through Jesus Christ, His Son, commit to Him and He will not fail you. Serve Him and He will settle you.
Serve Him and He will cause you to go from barrenness to fruitfulness. The act of fruitfulness is from the Spirit of God.

Beloved, “…the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him,” 2 Chronicles 16:9. When the Lord comes to your city, your street, your building may He find your heart perfect towards Him. May He pour into your life the fruitfulness that is in Him. God is the source of all things. He is the greatest producer, the greatest creator. He creates by His spoken word. I pray that the living God will speak fruitfulness into your life. I pray that every man, every woman, and every child will experience an upgrading change; that they go from barrenness to fruitfulness in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus.

Prayer Points:
Father, hear the cry of your people; bless your people indeed. O Lord, for unto thee do we lift up our soul. God Almighty, we trust in you; let us not be ashamed, let not our enemies triumph over us. Deliver us from the fear of man. Lord God Almighty, let all that put their trust in you be delivered from barrenness. living God, preserve those who are appointed to die and who are reading these words. There are some who are dying from barrenness. Lord, I pray that you pour your life into the spirit of each one.

O Father God Almighty, there is none as holy as you, there is none beside thee, neither is there any rock like our God.
Father, manifest your power; be magnified in the life of your children. Take us, O Lord, from barrenness to fruitfulness. Lord, unto you do we lift up our soul in the name of Jesus.
