Crown of Glory
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 62:3
“Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.”
Crown of Glory
The winds and the waves obey the voice of Jesus. Nothing can stand before His power. Father God, we glorify your holy name because no demon, no man, or any other thing can sink the ship of our lives; for you are the Master of the oceans and the seas. Father, I pray in the name of Jesus that you crown us with your glory.
For many individuals, our children are our glory. We carry pictures in our wallet, just anticipating an occasion to pull them out and boast. Similarly, the Bible calls God’s children His crown of glory. Not because of our good looks or achievements, but because He has crowned us with His glory. So, how does God’s glory appear? “As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake,” Ezekiel 1:28.
The glory of God is like the appearance of a colourful rainbow after a downpour. His glory radiates in every situation in our lives despite our flaws. If your situation is red, He will send His glory in that colour; if it is blue, He will send His blue shade of glory to shine in it. God will manifest His glory to beautify and eradicate everything that is not glorious in your life.
Who is God’s crown of glory? The Lord Jesus Christ is the crown of glory that God has given to all who believe in Him.
David says, “But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head,” Psalm 3:3. The glory of God will radiate, and eliminate all darkness even as it approaches His own. This is the glory of Jesus Christ, for His “light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not,” John 1:5. Darkness cannot comprehend the circumstances of your life because the glory of God is within. The enemy cannot come near you. This glory signifies your deliverance, your protection, and your restoration. God has heard your sighs and your crying. He has counted your tears and He will lift up your head in the name of Jesus. Jesus is your glory; because He was given to us, we are indeed God’s crown of glory.
Prayer Points:
If you have never at any time given your life to Jesus, pray, “Dear Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the book of life.
Deliver me from evil and restore to me all that the enemy has stolen. Crown my head with your glory.”
Father God Almighty, I pray that you display your power against every unrepentant opposition in our lives. Father God Almighty, in your mercy, deliver your children and put a crown of glory upon our heads. Glory be to your holy name. Amen.
