Devour My Devourer

Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 30
“Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey,” Jeremiah 30:16.

Devour My Devourer

Lord God, thank you that you are the Mighty One and you are able to deliver. Thank you, Lord, that in your wisdom you understand the operations of the wicked. Thank you that you use your Word, the sword of the Spirit, to cut the wicked short. May it be so in our lives in the name of Jesus.

Today’s scripture reading explains what the Lord will do to the wicked who operate against you. The Bible then says, “For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord: because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwelling-places; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them and they shall not be small. Their children also shall be as aforetime, and their congregation shall be established before me, and I will punish all that oppress them. And their nobles shall be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto me: for who is this that engaged his heart to approach unto me? Saith the Lord. And he shall be my people, and I will be your God. Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of the Lord shall not return, until he have done it, and until he have performed the intents of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it,” Jeremiah 30:17–24.

God means business about your preservation, so I recommend that you pray these scriptures: “Lord God Almighty, according to your Word I decree that all those who devour me be devoured. Let all my adversaries go into captivity. Lord God, all those who spoil me, let them be spoiled, and all who prey upon me, let them be given for a prey in the name of Jesus.” Pray the Scriptures confidently and boldly because the Word of God is one of your weapons of warfare. It is able to cut down that which is rising against you.

Continue to pray the Scriptures, saying “Father God, restore health to me; heal my wounds.”

Many of us suffer from the wounds of the enemy, of the years that have gone by, of disappointments, misunderstanding, attacks of which we are unaware, and of the stripes of tongues. Pray, “O Lord, restore health unto me physically, spiritually, and emotionally, O Lord, for they have called me an outcast and I have been abandoned. Heal the wounds of abandonment in every man and woman. Set the captives free and let the palaces that have been brought down be built again. Let there be the voice of thanksgiving. Multiply the voice of them that make merry; let them not be few in my life. Multiply me and let not my men be few, O Lord, let my life glorify you.

Prayer points:

Father God, let our people and our children be established before you. Father, punish our oppressors according to your Word. We pray that nobles will emerge from our people and that strangers not rule over us; that our governors proceed from our midst and you cause them to draw near to you. Lord, be our God, and let us be your people. We pray that your whirlwind go forth with fury, Lord, and that it fall upon the head of the wicked. And Lord let your fierce anger not return until you have done it, and performed the intent of your heart. For Lord the operation of the wicked is getting too much: they are no longer ashamed; they operate in daylight. Let your whirlwind locate them and fall upon their heads with pain.

Pray now against the wicked operators in your life, that God will send His whirlwind. Pray, “Lord, restore my health unto me; heal my wounds. Deliver me from the state of abandonment; let my real friends locate me again. Order my steps that I will meet righteous people and that our time will be refreshing in your Presence. Deliver me from the whirlwind of the enemy, for there is nothing you cannot do. You are my God, you are the Almighty. Blessed be your holy name in my life. If you have never given your life to Jesus, you will hear all these prayers and protections but will not know how to apply them properly because only the Spirit of God knows how to apply the Word. Therefore, if you have never given your life to Jesus, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Write my name in the book of life and give me the born-again experience and deliver me from the devourer forever, in the name of Jesus.”
