Set Free By God
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 49:24–26
“But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children,” Isaiah 49:25.
Set Free By God
The reign of the wicked is over; their triumphing is short. The heritage of the oppressor has overtaken the oppressor in our lives. Thank you for your love that has set us free. Although we are lawful captives in many ways, you set us free, and we thank you in Jesus’ name.
In Isaiah 49:24–26, we see the power of the Lord over the wicked: “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty or the lawful captive delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children. And I will feed them that oppress thee with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.”
The God we serve is mighty. He is the Redeemer and the Saviour. This word is for those who have been oppressed by the wicked, whether they know it or not, and the Lord is saying today that the storm is over, that He is feeding them that oppress you with their own flesh. Do not fear them anymore. That which you have been afraid of is afraid of you because the Word of God has come forth today. God will cause everyone around you to know that it was His hand, the mighty hand of the God of Jacob, who redeemed and saved you.
Be encouraged. God will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten up in your life. Be encouraged. Although you are a lawful captive, God has delivered you. Be encouraged.
God is contending with them that are contending with you. If you are a Christian, you should feel sorry for your enemies because the wrath of God has gone out to all who oppress and practice wickedness against you. The children of God may seem weak and vulnerable but they are mighty through God. O Father, I thank you for releasing your wrath upon all who are practicing wickedness against your children.
Father, their triumphing is short and their heritage has caught up with them. Father, many are oppressed with witchcraft. I thank you because they will no longer drink the blood of your children, they will now drink their own blood as sweet wine. I thank you because every effect of the arrow of sickness that has been released to the lives of your children, that poison arrow has been returned to the sender. Today by the power that is in the blood of Jesus, I decree divine healing and divine release.
Holy Father, I pray that your healing virtues, emotional, spiritual, and physical, will begin to penetrate the lives of all who read these words. Let this be the blessing of all who hear your Word, for the entrance of your Word gives light. Give us the grace to lay up your Word in our hearts that we will get the blessings and rewards that accrue to those who seek after you. Lord God Almighty, I pray that we will believe your Word that your wrath has gone out to the wicked and the oppressor, and that their reign is over. Father, let this be our experience in the name of Jesus.
