A Better Testament

Scripture Reading: Hebrews 7:22–28
“By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament,” Hebrews 7:22.

A Better Testament

Father, we thank you because you reign. We thank you because you are persuaded better things of us, including the things that accompany salvation.

God is persuaded better things of us and the basis, the foundation of better things is that Jesus Himself has come with a better testament for us. The Bible says by so much was Jesus made a surety, a guarantee of a better testament. “And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.

For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore,” Hebrews 7:23–28.

God is persuaded better things of you and there is a guarantor of a better testament and He is the one who is able to save you to the uttermost if you come to God by Him. Our Lord Jesus is our guarantor of a better life. No matter what your situation, Jesus can save you there. Have you come to God the Father through Jesus? If you have, you will have a better life because He ever lives to make intercession for you. Jesus is alive and well. Jesus is at the right hand of God the Father Almighty praying for us. We are guaranteed better things because God Himself has said in His Word that He is persuaded better things of us, the things that accompany salvation. What accompanies salvation? A better testament, guaranteed by Jesus, accompanies our salvation and He is the High Priest who is always capable and qualified.

God is persuaded better things of you and the foundation of better things is that you embrace a better testament; that you embrace the testament of the atonement of Jesus for you; that you begin to work with the revelation of a better testament. The better testament guaranteed by Jesus, the one who is holy, harmless, and undefiled, the one who is higher than the heaven, who has no sin, who offered up Himself once and is set by the right hand of God making intercession for us. The one who is able to save to the uttermost because we come to God through Him. He is assuring us today that better things are ahead. Life may be good now but I assure you better days are coming. I pray that your days will become better and blessed according to the persuasion of God through the atoning blood of Jesus.

Better things are coming because that is what God has released, that is what God has promised you will receive, and what Jesus has guaranteed by the better testament.

Prayer Points:

If you have never given your life to Jesus and embraced the better testament, you need to surrender your life to Him so that He will be your personal Saviour here and in eternity. Pray along with me now, “Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you.

Write my name in the book of life, and let me also experience the blessed life through the better testament in Jesus’ name.”
