Deliverance from the Grave
Scripture Reading: Ezekiel 37:12-14
“Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel,” Ezekiel 37:12.
Deliverance from the Grave
We give God glory. We thank Him for His great faithfulness. Today, our topic is deliverance from the grave. Yes, God intends to bring you out of your graves today. You may say, “I’m alive. I’m not in a grave.” But it is possible to be physically alive and spiritually in a grave. If it were not so the Bible would not talk about it. May God bring us all out of our graves in Jesus’ name.
Ezekiel 37:13 says, “And ye shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves.” He did it for Lazarus when Lazarus died and the Lord Jesus told him to come forth. My prayer today is that those who are locked up in a grave but are physically walking around, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, there will be a divine release, a divine deliverance from the grave according to the Word of God.
Yes, God can take you out of your grave. What could be buried? Your hopes could be buried in the grave of years gone by. Your lively hopes, your lively expectations could be buried. Today in the name of Jesus, I pray for every good virtue, every blessing in your life that has been buried in the grave, that God will cause it to come out in the name of Jesus.
There are times when people are physically alive but just like their hopes and dreams, they are dead and people are saying they are dead. I want to say to you today in the name of Jesus that you will not die; you will live to declare the works of God. In Psalm 143 we read of David and his challenge, “Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. For the enemy has persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. Hear me speedily, O Lord: my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. Cause me to hear thy lovingkindess in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. Deliver me, O Lord, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. Quicken me, O Lord, for thy name’s sake: for thy righteousness’ sake bring my soul out of trouble. And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.”
Praise the Lord! Does this Psalm describe where you are today? God is saying to you, I have heard you; I have opened your graves, now begin to walk out. Begin to come forth like Lazarus. Begin to shake off that lethargy because God has heard your cry. God has looked at your situation. God has seen the enemy that has been persecuting your soul, and He is saying today, I am bringing you out of your grave. Blessed be God who always causes us to triumph. I pray in the name of Jesus that the words of Ezekiel 37:12-14 will encourage you today.
God is able to deliver you from your graves and He is doing it today. Yes, your spirit could have been buried. Your hope, your joy, your virtues, and your glory could have been buried. Your wealth, your health, your marriage, your love, your soul, your dreams could have been buried. But I pray that every good thing that has been buried in every life reading this today receive a divine deliverance from the grave to the glory of God. He has delivered before and because He does not change, He will deliver you today. Glory be to His Holy name.
Prayer Points:
Deliverance from the grave is only for those who have given their lives to the Lord Jesus. If you have never done it, do it today and say, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. O Lord the promotions that have been buried, let them come out of their grave today in the name of Jesus.
O Father, you know what you mean when you say, “I will bring you out of your graves.” Lord God, is there a death wish upon any life reading this today?
