Fear Not for God is Able

Scripture Reading: 2 Chronicles 32:7-8

“With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah,” 2 Chronicles 32:8.

Fear Not for God is Able

Yes, God is able. He is able to carry you through, able to defeat that problem, that challenge in your life. The Word of God says, “Be strong and courageous. Be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him,” 2 Chronicles 32:7.

Beloved, today the Lord is telling you to be strong and courageous. God is telling you not to be afraid. Fear not beloved, for greater is He that is with you and in you than he that is in the world. Whatever is challenging you is of the world, but God is greater and God is able. God is commanding us in His Word to be strong and courageous and not to fear. Fear harasses most of us whether we admit it or not. Fear of flying, fear of sleeping, fear of drinking, fear of eating, fear of man, fear of subways, fear of aircraft, fear of cars, fear of walking in the dark, fear of walking when there is too much light.  In the name of Jesus may God deliver us today from fear. Translate us from being fear-filled people to people who are strong and courageous in the name of Jesus.

Why is God saying be not afraid? Why is God encouraging us to be courageous? Because everything that is challenging you has no substance. It is of the flesh. It is of the world. But the Lord our God is with us. We have God on our side; we have Jesus on our side.  We should be excited because we are filled with His Spirit, we are anointed, and we are the children of God.  With the world is an arm of flesh, but with us is the Lord our God to help us and to fight our battles. When God is fighting for you, you have no choice but to win. The challenge is that the devil seeks to win in the arena of fear. Even if you are going to win in the end, he harasses you with fear. Let it end today in Jesus’ name, because the Bible says, “and the people rested themselves upon the words of Hezekiah king of Judah,” 2 Chronicles 32:8.

Yes, the people of Israel were threatened by their strong enemy, but he encouraged them by giving them the words of 2 Chronicles 32:7-8, and is now telling you to be strong and courageous; that He will be there to help you fight your battles.

I pray today, that all who are reading this will rest and put their confidence and trust in the Word of God. Let us place our confidence, our courage, our strength, on the might of God in the name of Jesus. 2 Chronicles 32:21-22 says, “And the Lord sent an angel, which cut off all the mighty men of valour, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. And when he was come into the house of his god, they that came forth of his own bowels slew him there with the sword. Thus the Lord saved Hezekiah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib the king of Assyria, and from the hand of all other, and guided them on every side.” May that be our portion from our God who is able to save us today, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Points:

Beloved, pray with me and say, “Lord God, make me strong and courageous in you. Deliver me from fear and dismay, O Lord in the name of Jesus. Let me know that there are more with me in you than with my enemies.  O Lord my God, send an angel to cut off, to eliminate, to extinguish the strong men, the leaders, the captains, the officers, and the operators in the camp of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.  Lord God Almighty, let the enemies of my life be put to shame and self- destruct in the name of Jesus. O Lord, save me from the hand of my strong enemy in the name of Jesus, and from all other challenges, and guide and guard me on every side. Give me the grace to give gifts to you, to sing your praises, and present myself to you as a grateful child.  Be magnified forever in my life in the eyes of all nations in the name of Jesus. Holy Father, according to your Word in 2 Chronicles 32:27, “And Hezekiah had exceeding much riches and honour: and he made himself treasuries for silver, and for gold, and for precious stones, and for spices, and for shields, and for all manner of pleasant jewels.”   O Lord, give me exceeding much in riches and honour according to your Word. Bless me with perpetual abundance in all areas, O Lord. Give me much substance in the name of Jesus. Prosper me in every good work. Let my labour and effort not be in vain and permanently eliminate fear in my life for you are my God and you are able. Amen.
