Save The Sick

Scripture Reading: James 5:13–16
“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord,” James 5:14.

Save The Sick

Father God we thank you for the provision you have made for the healing of your children. We thank you because healing virtues that were elusive in the Old Testament, except to a priviledged few, are now available to all who will believe in the New Testament.

James 5:13–16 says, “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you?
Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven.”

This is a powerful section in the Bible. It does not deny that sickness can happen to the child of God, for it says, “Is any sick among you?” The sick are to call for the elders of the church. Now we have churches as we well know in the Kingdom of God at different levels. We have the local church, we have the Church of God universal, and we have the church of God that is comprised of people in the physical and in the spiritual. It is not just prayer that saves the sick, but prayers of faith, and faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Faith comes when you have confidence, when you believe, and when you have surrendered to the One in whom you say you have faith.

Many believe in Jesus but they never want that faith tested. But there is something about the twenty-four elders who are perpetually before God. They have got to be believers to be perpetually praising and worshipping Him, communicating with Him in reverence.

I know one thing: our God is not constrained to the physical; He is also in the spiritual. That is why He has the ability to operate physically and spiritually, and to penetrate every realm. And so I want us to pray beyond the physical concerning healing. The Sun of Righteousness who is the Lord Jesus arises in our lives with healing in His wings, Malachi 4:2. In the same manner there are appointed elders, certified to operate with the healing anointing.

I want you to pray and ask Jesus to intervene in your health situation. Pray that the portion of healing that God has made available in the New Testament, that healing anointing that is meant to be perpetual, meant to be progressive, and meant to bring you to perfection, become your reality by the grace of the living God in the name of Jesus. And so pray, O living God, let healing anointing be my perpetual, progressive, and perfect portion in Jesus’ name. Pray that God will connect you to the gift of healing. Ask the living God to bring on your path people who have deposits of the gift of healing as meant to be profitable to all. Say connect me O living God to the gift of healing and let me profit from its dispensation by manifesting excellence in every sphere of my life because of the healing anointing in Jesus name. Pray, O Lord send your Word into my life and let the healing virtues encoded in it be released with power into my life in Jesus’ name I pray. Pray that the presence of His power through the Holy Spirit release anointing for healing into your life. Let the power of the Holy Spirit be present in your life to deposit healing virtues into your body, soul, and spirit perpetually in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Points:

Today, I ask that God in His mercy will command healing virtues to come into our lives through physical contact with anointed vessels in Jesus’ name. I pray that God will empower us by the Holy Spirit to overcome obstacles to victorious Christian living so that we will be able to eat of the Tree of Life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations.

O Father God Almighty, bless your children; for the rampage of sickness in body, soul, and spirit is alarming Lord. Your Word says that your people perish for lack of knowledge. I pray Lord for healing virtues to reach everyone reading this message: that the Word will transmit into your body, soul, and spirit healing virtues that will become a reality in the name of Jesus. Arise and be healed I command you brethren in the name of Jesus; for there is healing in the name of the Lord.

Let the Sun of Righteousness arise in your life with healing in His wings today and forever in Jesus’ name, Amen.
