“As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it,” Isaiah 31:5.

As Birds Flying Will God Defend You

Father God, I pray that you will touch all your children today, that your favour will encompass them as a shield in the name of Jesus. O King of kings, cover and protect your children in the way that only you can. In your mercy, Lord, defend your children in Jesus’ name we pray.

Isaiah 31:4 says, “For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.” The Word of God continues, in verse 5 to state clearly that He will defend, deliver, and preserve His own.

Do you in any way feel exposed to danger? Are you in need of the divine defense of the Lord today? I have good news for you: it does not matter who or what surrounds you, God will come suddenly and render His protection, His defense and His deliverance. For the Word says, “As birds flying, so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem.” This is a good verse to memorize. When you are being attacked on the ground, a land- based counterattack is not as effective as a strategic airborne defense.

God says He is not coming to fight as a troop against your enemies; He is coming from above as birds flying.

May God arrive in your situation above the level of your enemies in Jesus’ name. May God defend you as birds flying. I want you to internalize that defense system and mechanism of our living God. After He defends you from above, He will deliver you. When God sets a protection above you as birds flying, He is putting a cover to guarantee your deliverance from any further attack of the enemy. God will fly to your defense and flying means He is coming with speed.

His speed is faster than light and His power is omnipotent, which means He has complete, unlimited, universal power and authority. As birds flying so will the Lord of hosts defend Jerusalem, so will the Lord of hosts defend you from all that is attacking you in Jesus’ name. And after defending, He will deliver you from further attack. He will then pass over and preserve you. There is that which passes over and destroys and there is that which passes over and preserves.

When God is operating in defensive mode, He does it speedily. He acts protectively to deliver you from your strong enemy.
He not only delivers you, but He passes over you and spreads His protective mantle over you to preserve you.

God’s protection is both invisible and invincible. His Presence is present, and His clear and present protection passes over you for preservation.

I pray that God will give us the revelation of His protection, His divine defense system. I pray that in His defense you will experience His deliverance. May His defense and deliverance in passing over, preserve you in the name of Jesus.

If you have never given your life to Jesus, I pray that God will give you the grace to come into that protective cover of the Lord Jesus Christ by surrendering your life to Him today. Pray now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you. Write my name in the book of life. Give me the grace to be born again, O Lord, and defend me as birds flying. As you are defending me, deliver me, pass over me, and preserve me.” Amen.
