The Conqueror

Father God, I pray that we have the grace to increase our consciousness of the truth that we always have Jesus on our side. We thank you for affirming this in your Word that says, “…lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world,” Matthew 28:20.

Wherever you are right now, in your hospital bed, in prison, in the midst of a trial or triumph, I pray that you are excited because Jesus is on your side. In previous devotions we talked about moving from your valley to your mountaintop. Let us review the steps to be taken up that mountain where you will become a conqueror:

  1. Discern that you are in the valley and desire to use your faith to get to the mountaintop.

  2. Internalize prophecies and promises from the Bible.

  3. Do warfare with the promises and prophecies.

  4. Become a Joseph who will mature into a visioner and a dreamer.

  5. Manifest the reality of your visions and dreams.

Once you have been delivered from your valley, you are on that mountaintop and now have a clear vision of who you are meant to be. But the battle is not over; you still need that conquering spirit. You need the Joshua spirit to conqueror, and your Joshua is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the one who will give you the grace to persevere and conquer all the opponents that inhabit your mountaintop.

The Lord God Almighty Himself will fight for you and you will hold your peace. You will move from deliverance to conquest. You will conquer by doing warfare, and by receiving your blessings. You then maintain your blessings by using your conquering spirit, by having a victorious spirit, and by understanding that “greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world,” 1 John 4:4. Because you have Jesus on your side, you will not be afraid to go forth and conquer.

Joshua 10:12–14 says, “Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the Sun stood still, and the moon stayed until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.” In verse 25 we are told not to fear, to be strong and of good courage for the Lord will fight our battles. Life is a battle. As it says in Matthew 11:12, “…the Kingdom of God suffereth violence and the violent take it by force.” When the children of Israel arrived in the Promised Land they had to conquer the inhabitants. There are always people inhabiting your mountaintop who will not want to move; therefore, you need to conquer them. Joshua and Caleb always said they needed more battles because they had the revelation that battles mean victory. As a child of God with the conquering spirit, you should not be afraid of battles because battles mean conquest, since the victorious Spirit of the Lord is fighting for you.

If you analyze your life, you realize that you have been through many battles. The Lord who delivered you through those battles yesterday will deliver you through them today. And if you have gone from your valley to your mountaintop, you will still have to do battle. I pray today that the Lord will avenge your enemies. Pray, Lord God, your Word says that the gates of hell shall not prevail against your church, Matthew 16:18. I am a member of the body of Christ, so let the gates of hell not prevail against me in the name of Jesus. I thank you for purchasing victory for me in the blood of Jesus. I am now on my mountaintop; by your grace you have added to my faith prophecies, the grace of spiritual warfare, visions, deliverance, and the conquering spirit. You said your ministers are a flaming fire, Psalm 104:4. Now that I am on that mount of Zion, turn me to hot coals of untouchable fire. Lord, let nothing move me backward for I am going forward in the name of Jesus.

Father God, we bind everything that is contrary to peace on the mountaintop. Every altar of witchcraft, of false religion, let it be broken in Jesus’ name. Every weapon of wickedness being fashioned against your children let them not function.

Let every evil imagination against the uplifting of your children fail woefully in the name of Jesus.

It is exciting because you are now at that mountaintop, where your prayer language should be different. Your prayer language should be the language of a conqueror; of the one who knows that you are a victor, that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. When you get to the high place, you will also find that the Lion of Judah has broken every yoke. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, the Captain of the Host will defeat every adversary on your mountaintop in the name of Jesus.

Prayer Points:

Father, promote your children. The mountaintop is the place of high praise. I pray Lord that you take your children from the conqueror realm to the worshipper realm in Jesus’ name. Amen.
