Worshipper
Thank you Lord God for taking your children from the valley, the crying place, to a place of faith where your Word and promises are now internalized. I thank you that they have taken your Word and promises from their head to their spirit man, that they have done warfare like Jacob, that they have produced a Joseph, a visioner and a dreamer of great new things. Lord, by your grace, I thank you that your children have in our Lord Jesus both a Moses who delivers and a Joshua who fights their battles so that they become conquerors.
Father, help us to continue to build our faith on that mountaintop.
God brought you here to worship Him in spirit and in truth. The believer whom God has taken from the valley to the mountaintop must pray for the spirit of worship; a worship that is beyond entertainment. We are to embrace a spiritual worship of appreciation, knowing that God has taken us through all of these stages and we are now victors on our mountaintop. Begin to pour upon the Lord Jesus Christ the accolades and praises due His name.
When he got to his high place, David, the worshipper said, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the Lord, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him,” Psalm 34:1–8. David then encourages others to worship and fear God so they will not want, verses 9–10. He exhorts them to keep from doing evil and to pursue peace because the Lord will hear the cry of the righteous and deliver them while He will cut the remembrance of those who do evil from the earth, verses 13–17. David reminds people that Jesus will save those who have a contrite spirit. He will redeem the soul of those who serve him, but those who hate the righteous will be desolate, verses 18–22.
The psalm of the mountaintop speaks of one who has come up from the valley to the heights. David’s own father did not consider him important enough to be presented for consideration as king. But God took David through the processes and placed him at that high place. I pray that the God who delivered David will deliver you from your valley. I pray that you, like David, will say, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” I pray that you will have a personal experience of faith in God, of God’s prophecies, of warfare with prophecy, of good visions and good dreams; that you have deliverance, that you will conquer, and that you will become a true worshipper. Nothing pleases God more than worship. When we pray to God He answers but when we worship God He manifests His presence. His Word says the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. I pray that God will pour into your life the spirit of praise that wherever you are now, you will begin to praise God so that He will manifest His power on your behalf.
We were created to give God pleasure, but our sorrows, depression, and sickness do not give God pleasure. He wants to take you to the mountaintop. You get there by following His precepts. The treasure house of faith is in the Word of God. Nowhere else can you find faith but in the Word of God. Get into the Word, internalize the promises, believe the prophecies, and you will prosper. Do warfare with the prophecies in the name of Jesus. Use the prophecies to pray for your life and God will give you a new vision and a new dream. Continue to pray and He will bring deliverance. Once you are delivered to your mountaintop, God will give you the conquering spirit to conquer all opposition. With victory you will sing a new song to God; you will praise Him in a new way because He has led you through it all.
When you are praising God in spirit and in truth, He arrives with knowledge, wisdom, and blessings. David praised God and he produced a Solomon and Solomon was the king of peace, a child of peace and prosperity. You will get explosive prosperity as you go from Abraham and his faith to Isaac and his prophecies, from the prophecies of Isaac to the warfare of Jacob, from the warfare of Jacob to the visions of Joseph, from the deliverance of Moses to the conquest of Joshua, and to the worship of David. As you worship, God will bring into your life the blessings that only He can give because He says, “I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth,” 3 John 1:2. I pray that God will take you from the valley to the mountaintop victoriously.
Prayer Points:
If you have never given your life to Jesus, pray with me now, “Dear Lord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and personal Saviour. Take me from the valley to the mountaintop in Jesus’ name. Make me a worshipper.” Amen.
