Hidden Wisdom

Father God, I thank you because you do not allow a problem except you have a solution. I pray that your solution to the problem of divine leadership in our families, workplaces, cities, states, nations, and around the globe be applied today. Father, I thank you because the component of leadership that is needed more than anything else is the manifestation of wisdom.

1 Corinthians 2:6 asks how can we speak wisdom among those who are perfect? Perfect here means “mature.” So, speaking wisdom is for those who have Christian maturity. “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ,” 1 Corinthians 2:7– 16.

We must have the mind of Christ to enjoy the provisions of God for leadership. Having the mind of Christ is to receive the wisdom of God, which is hidden wisdom. Wisdom is the proper application of accurate information. I can confidently say that the source of accurate information can be found in the Word of God and if you apply the Word appropriately, you will manifest God’s wisdom.
Luke 2:52 says, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man,” and Proverbs 4:7 says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” We are to get accurate information, gain understanding of God’s Word, and apply it as wisdom.

Jesus emerged as the greatest leader of all time by increasing in wisdom and stature, and by increasing in favour with God and man. To receive that hidden wisdom, you must follow the steps He followed.

  1. Jesus’ increase and maturation came through wisdom, by practicing biblical principles. That is why He was able to fulfill all righteousness, the heavens opened, and He was empowered for His ministry. God confirmed Him because He increased in wisdom. Jesus knew the Word, He discerned what was right, and He did it. His increase came from the proper application of God’s Word.

  2. Jesus’ increase in properly applying the Word of God naturally increased His stature. If we increase in God, God will increase our stature. Psalm 68:11 says, “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” Published here means proclaimed. Many in our generation have increased their stature through wisdom and by applying and proclaiming the Word of God.

While publishing, applying, proclaiming, and practicing the principles of the true Word of God, Jesus increased in stature, which caused an increase in favour with God and man. Jesus gained favour with God and man because He was doing what was in God’s heart. He was God’s efficient and effective representative leading on earth and rightly dividing the Word of truth. He was very clear and so His stature and favour increased. Many men and women of God who proclaim the Word of God clearly enjoy favour with God. They also enjoy favour with man because God is pleased that they are doing what He wants them to do. Men favour godly people because they see that people are being fed with the food they hunger after. Everybody favours the person who brings good to them, the person who obeys and shows them what they have been purposed to do.

God has programmed you for success, clarity, and purity. He has programmed you for perfect and greater things of which you have no idea, and the key is wisdom. May God deliver us from foolishness so that like Jesus we will increase in wisdom and in stature and in favour with God and man.

Prayer Points:

Holy Father, all things are possible with you. It is time for us to receive your direction, wisdom, and understanding. We need to understand and get hidden wisdom from your Word which is hidden in plain sight from unbelievers. Reveal to us what you mean in your Word. Draw us close to you and let us walk in the realm of the wise like your Son, our Saviour, that we will increase in wisdom and stature and in favour with God and man in Jesus’ name.
