Fruit and Gifts for Wonder
Scripture Reading: Galatians 5:22–2
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”
Fruit and Gifts for Wonder
Father God, water and nourish the fruit of the Spirit that you have given us. Give us the grace to mature into a wonder.
God desires for you to be wonderful. His will for you is that you be a sign and a wonder. Spiritual significance and miraculous works should emanate naturally from you. In order to be a wonder, God must be present in your life; you must work for God through the help of the Holy Spirit. His office is never too full for a new employee and promotions and bonuses are always available because He is not affected by the economy. By His Holy Spirit, He will transform you from glory to glory into a wonder.
Worshipping, serving, and following His Spirit will initiate the process where God evolves you into a wonder by the maturation of the fruit of His Spirit and the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. What is the fruit of the Holy Spirit? The fruit of the Spirit is agape unconditional love; joy that is always present; peace that passes understanding; longsuffering; gentleness; goodness; faith; meekness and temperance. When these segments of the one fruit grow in your life and mature, you will have evolved into a wonder. It is therefore important to nurture your fruit and grow as a Christian.
The maturity of the fruit will cause your gifts to be displayed so clearly that it will benefit not only you but others as well. While the fruit of the Spirit is for your training and maturity in Christ, the gifts are for sharing with the brethren.
What are the gifts of the Holy Spirit? “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will,” 1 Corinthians 12:7–11.
God has given you one or more of these nine gifts and they are waiting to manifest, proving that you are indeed a wonder. If you are letting your gifts hibernate, I encourage you to use them. The more you share your gifts with others, the more you receive the manifestation of them. Diligence with your gifts will make you stand as a wonder before kings in due time.
Your gifts will confirm that you are indeed a miraculous wonder by the Spirit of God.
Prayer Points:
Father God, I ask in the name of Jesus that the fruit of the Spirit be nurtured into maturity in each one of your children. May we receive the grace to manage our spiritual gifts in a godly way: in a way that is pleasing to you and beneficial to the body of Christ. Fill us with your Holy Spirit. By the Spirit’s power, give us the grace to cope with the glory that will come when wonders begin to happen. Thank you for your plan for us; it is far better than what we could ever imagine. Amen.
