Arise, Shine
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 60:1
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.”
Arise, Shine
Father God, we thank you for the glory of your Presence. We pray that your glory will fill our lives today and ask for the grace to embrace and radiate it in Jesus’ name.
God says, “Rise up!” Just as Bartimaeus the blind beggar arose in faith and approached Jesus in Mark 10:49–50, Jesus is calling you to arise from your darkness and shine forth. Like an artist whose turn on the stage has finally come, it is your turn in the spotlight. This spotlight is not one manufactured by technology or controlled by human hands; it is the spotlight of the glory of God given to you at God’s discretion. This glory is indescribable light with unlimited wattage meant to shine brighter and brighter. Beloved, you must go from glory to glory. Do your best now. In fact, by the power of the Holy Spirit, do better than your best, because this glory is from God whose ability far surpasses ours; even His weakness is stronger than our greatest strength, 1 Corinthians 1:25.
Let every thing that obstructs the light of God from shining forth be removed. Let everything that holds you down release you. Today you will shine to your utmost.
In Psalm 4, David, when he perceived that his glory was being converted to shame called on God: “Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer. O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity and seek after leasing? Selah. But know that the Lord hath set apart him that is godly for himself: The Lord will hear when I call unto Him. Stand in awe and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the Lord. There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? Lord, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us. Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down and in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.”
David asks, “How long will ye turn my glory into shame?” Is there any circumstance, any body, any principality, or any power that is attempting to defile the glory of God in you?
Separate yourself and walk in righteousness. Remove that shade covering your glory. O ye sons of men who aim to turn the glory of the child of God into shame, your time is over! I explode the bomb of the blood of Jesus upon you in the name of Jesus. Beloved, I decree the divine light upon you now.
According to the Word of the living God, arise and shine for your light is come, and the glory of the living God is risen upon you.
Prayer Points:
O Father God, in every way that the sons of men are trying to turn our glory into shame, by the power of the Holy Spirit, move and remove every shade covering your glory in our lives. In your mercy, help us to arise, and shine.
Beloved, you can only shine when the power of God through the Holy Spirit is in you. If you do not have the power of the Holy Spirit operating in you, accept Jesus of Nazareth as your Saviour and receive the Holy Spirit. Pray, “Dear Lord Jesus, I accept you as my personal Lord and Saviour. I confess and forsake my sins. Cleanse me from my sins with your blood. Write my name in the book of life and make me one of your children. Give me the born-again Spirit and grant me His power so that I will arise and shine for my light is come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon me. Amen.
